If you need a break from your routine and want to try something new, then why not come sailing. I've got a 40 foot yacht that sleeps six comfortably. I'm currently based along the Florida coast and am available for
both short (2-3 day) and long (1-2 week) trips. You can either book the whole boat (I'll be captain), or just book a berth or two.
What you get is a vacation in paradise. The sailing isn't physically demanding, so don't worry about that; we're not out to win races but to have a good time. Adrenaline junkies may want to to look elsewhere (Although when the weather gets rough it does get exciting and it gives you
the feeling of really being alive). It's not a sailing school, but an informal way of learning about sailing and the cruising life. You can learn as much as you want about sailing, or if you just want to relax, then don't worry, you can just relax.
We've had all ages, from 10 to 60 years old, though the average age is between 25 and 35. Individuals, couples, groups of friends. Whatever. We usually have about a 50-50 split between men and women. By the end of the
trip everyone knows each other very well and there have been many enduring friendships.
We have a fully equipped kitchen; 2 double bed cabins and two beds in the galley; two bathrooms with showers. Clean sheets and blankets
are supplied, you just need a small bag of light clothes, a towel (maybe some rain gear and a coat just in case) and suntan lotion. Mask and snorkel are good ideas too.
Although we try to split the nights in between nature and anchored near a town, the trip is geared more toward nature than towns. If you like to swim, sunbathe, snorkel and sail, then book now.
